After taking safety precautions which included all guest taking lateral flows and having to provide an NHS COVID Pass, we were excited to host our annual Alumni Evening. We celebrated the achievements of the class of 2021 with Ilham being awarded the Dilek Yener Award for her exemplary academic achievements. Iyobosa received the Javaughn McNeish award for his incredible academic achievements during his time at our school. We also had the opportunity to introduce new awards due to some Urswick history making achievements by Cosmo and Miriam. We introduced the Cosmo Siddons award to be awarded to Urswick students who achieve a place at Oxford University and the Miriam Summers award for students who achieve a place at Cambridge University.

We also took the opportunity to celebrate and thank our out going Head of Sixth Form Fiona Bishop who has led our sixth form from its inception. She is stepping aside to become our UCAS coordinator. To commemorate her contribution to Sixth Form, Mr Brown announced a new award called, the Fiona Bishop Award for Excellence. It will be awarded to a student who has gone above and beyond during their sixth form journey.

The night ended with our current year 12 and 13 students networking with our alumnus and gaining insight, advice and guidance for their future. We look forward to doing it all again in 2022 to celebrate the class of 2022, reconnect with our growing alumni network and inspiring our current sixth formers.
