Candidates must take a fitness test before a place on the course is confirmed.

Students taking this qualification will study three mandatory units:
- Anatomy and Physiology (1.5 hour external written exam)
- Fitness Training and Programming for Health, Sport and Well-being (written task set completed under supervised conditions and marked by Pearson)

Students will develop skills that are highly regarded by both universities and employers, including team working, leadership, performance analysis, resilience, evaluation, analysis and synthesising concepts.
