Year 11 Prom
31st May 2013On Friday 24th May, the Year 11 students enjoyed a fantastic end to a successful year. Travelling in style on three route master buses, the students and staff arrived at the Westminster pier. Waiting in anticipation, the students were shocked to see the large Elizabethan style boat that they were climbing aboard. Sailing along the River Thames, the students enjoyed hours of dancing to a variety of music played by the DJ. Read More

Year 12 Drama students give powerful performances
8th May 2013Over the last school term Year 12 have been rehearsing two plays, ‘Gone Too Far’ and ‘Belong’ by Bola Agbaje. Both plays have been performed at The Royal Court theatre in recent years and they both explore the theme of cultural identity. On 2nd May a visiting examiner came to our school to assess the students. The assessed performances contribute 40% of the students overall AS grade. Read More

The Urswick School celebrates outstanding Ofsted grades
22nd April 2013Staff and students at The Urswick School have been celebrating after the school was graded as a ‘Good’ school with two ‘Outstanding’ features, following a recent Ofsted inspection. Inspectors visited the school on the 20th and 21st March where they observed lessons and met with students and staff as part of the inspection. Read More
