Over the last school term Year 12 have been rehearsing two plays, ‘Gone Too Far’ and ‘Belong’ by Bola Agbaje. Both plays have been performed at The Royal Court theatre in recent years and they both explore the theme of cultural identity. On 2nd May a visiting examiner came to our school to assess the students. The assessed performances contribute 40% of the students overall AS grade. Read More
The Urswick School celebrates outstanding Ofsted grades

Staff and students at The Urswick School have been celebrating after the school was graded as a ‘Good’ school with two ‘Outstanding’ features, following a recent Ofsted inspection. Inspectors visited the school on the 20th and 21st March where they observed lessons and met with students and staff as part of the inspection. Read More
Celebrating LGBT Month

Year 7 students celebrated LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) History Month, by finding out about the work of Alan Turing in Mathematics, Science, History, ICT and Literacy lessons. Read More
Year 9 Options Morning

We were very pleased to welcome Year 9 students, their parents and carers and a whole host of visiting professionals on Saturday 16th March for Options Morning. The event forms part of our programme of independent career guidance offered to students throughout their time at the school. Read More
Sixth Form Academy Students return from winter skills trip at prestigious Scottish school
