During the Autumn term the year 12 history students worked on a project along side the Royal Horticultural society (RHS) and Chocolate films, funded by the National Lottery. They created two short films on the history of the site of the school which was one the largest hot houses in the U.K known as Loddiges. These hot houses were home to plants from all over the globe.

The year 12 students showcased their films to members of the RHS and the local community who were interested in history and gardening. The event was a great success with largely positive feedback from those who saw the films and there was an unveiling of a new plaque in the school museum to educate you on the history of Loddiges. This project allowed the students to work along side professionals in the media and to gain experience making a film, editing it and creating an animation. By making the most of this opportunity the students involved have strengthened their applications to universities and the applications for jobs.
