Financial Literacy Day 2025

Our Year 12 students recently took part in a dynamic drop-down day focused on building essential financial literacy skills. Throughout the day, students engaged in practical and informative sessions on key topics such as mortgages and the pros and cons of buying versus renting, understanding student finance and borrowing, and managing debt and credit cards - vital knowledge as they prepare for life beyond school.

To round off the day, students stepped into the world of business with a task inspired by The Apprentice. Building on group work from the previous week, they were challenged to design and pitch a creative solution to the issue of homelessness. The results were outstanding: collaborative, thoughtful, and impressively professional pitches that would have made Lord Sugar proud.

After some tough deliberation from our staff panel of judges, one winning team was crowned and awarded Parker pens to mark their achievement.

Our Sixth Form is proud to offer opportunities like this that equip students with real-world skills, preparing them not just for exams, but for life.
