Sports Day 2025

What a day to remember! Sports Day 2025 brought our school community together for a vibrant, fun filled day. From start to finish both students and staff gave it their all, whether that was their well led warm-ups at the start, sprinting down the track, leaping for victory, space hopping over the line, or putting their all in to the Tug of war!
Throughout Lee Valley there was continuous laughter, creative banners were made, photos galore taken in our Instagram Photo Zone, lots of cheering and positive sporting behaviour from the Urswick School community.
Staff joined in on the fun and got involved in the staff versus staff tug of war. This was something that was highly competitive and hilarious, with teachers digging in for glory and a lot of laughs. Let’s just say no one held back, and the students were the loudest cheerleaders of all. There was even time for a mixed student/staff relay competition which was fantastic to see them working together as a team to cross the finish line first.
A huge congratulations to 9SWL for taking home the overall Sports Day winner’s trophy. They showed outstanding teamwork and determination throughout. A special shout out to the best male athlete of 2025, Ateini Mudhir Mohamed (9GRB) and Elizabeth Lovell Baker (9WOV), whose incredible performances, sportsmanship, and spirit stood out across the events. Well done!
Thank you to everyone who made the day such a huge success and a huge shout out to our students for their incredible enthusiasm and positive energy. Believe and Achieve!
