Golden Tickets, Magic Tricks, and a Whole Lot of Fun at Tea with the Head!

Last week, 156 of our fantastic Year 7 and 8 students were treated to an unforgettable afternoon at Tea with the Head — a special reward for those who earned 120 credits or more this year.

This year’s celebration came with a sweet twist, as the theme was inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Each student received their very own Urswick Wonka Bar and, just like in the story, some lucky bars revealed golden tickets inside! Those golden ticket holders walked away with an extra prize, adding even more excitement to the day.

The event was packed with fun activities, including a bungee run, a giant ball pit, and plenty of games to get everyone smiling and laughing. The highlight for many was a dazzling performance from a magician, who left students (and staff!) amazed with his incredible tricks.

It was a fantastic way to recognise the hard work, positive attitude and commitment to the Urswick School values our students have shown this year. Congratulations to everyone who earned their place — your effort truly paid off, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s celebration!
